Kent Moussault

"His ability to simplify complex concepts and tailor his approach to each individual makes him an outstanding music educator." Francisco de la Vera, Creative Producer, former CEO Blue Paradise Media

Dutch-Japanese Conductor/composer Kent Moussault (1993) has been composing music since he was 15 years old. Kent won the 3rd price at the Princess Christina Composition Competition in 2013 and was granted the Wagner-scholarship of the Bayreuther Festspiele after his composition of “Il cigno di Palermo” (the swan of Palermo) based on the enigmatic Porazzi theme by R.Wagner. His work for solo piano has been played in Europe, Asia, and North and South Americas and has been championed by the Pianist Camiel Boomsma. In 2023, his orchestral piece “Iolaus Suite” was performed 14 times on tour through China with the Amsterdam Chamber Orchestra, and in 2024, Kent will compose and conduct his new composition for video game and live orchestra.

Since 2020, Kent has been gaining experience as a ghost composer/orchestrator for media productions. In 2022, he founded MoussaultArts for his work as a media composer. Kent has been working on several independent media productions, ranging from independent short films to custom library music, music for puppet shows, and orchestrating for pop music productions.

Because of his work as an orchestral conductor working on Opera and contemporary music, Kent has developed a deep knowledge of orchestration and musical storytelling.

Kent studied conducting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

In 2016, he received the Wagner scholarship of the Bayreuther Festspiele.

Kent received a scholarship from the Kersjesfonds, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Mengelberg Foundation.

Since 2023, Kent has been a regular guest lecturer on the subjects “Orchestral Conducting” and “Orchestration for Media Composers” at the ArtEZ University of the Arts.
