Music technology encourages playfulness and creativity. You do not necessarily need to know how to read music - you only need your laptop and good speakers or headphones.
Live Electronics in Practice is divided into two parts: the technical and the artistic part. The technical component focuses on the programming and sound design, and the artistic element aims to pay attention to the inspiration, creation, and refinement of the work. Both parts are inevitably linked when working in the world of electronic music.

Apart from supporting students in all these separate aspects, our teacher Jaume Darbra also focuses on connecting with other art forms, which is often a vital capacity of the electronics performer.

Jaume was born in a small village in Catalonia and grew up in the countryside.
After high school, he moved to Barcelona for music; the idea won over his plans to study Psychology. A few years later, he was immersed in the rich world of Karnatic Rhythms and Live Electronics, which complemented his studies of Classical and Contemporary Performances around Europe.
Jaume Darbra holds a Master's Degree in Live Electronics from The Conservatory of Music Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
