The aim of these courses is to give students a broad and inclusive understanding of the development of music from the Baroque to 20th-century eras. Students will develop their knowledge of repertoire, score analysis, musical forms, composers, and performers through specifically selected musical compositions that highlight important aspects of each musical genre. These courses are highly interactive and not simply a repetition of facts. Students will be able to place compositions into the context of how music developed over hundreds of years whilst developing their critical listening skills.
